The Cannello is a solid reeded cylinder — every millimetre of its surface carved in tight, vertical fluting that runs from the flat circular top all the way down to the stepped plinth base below. The reeding catches light in thin parallel lines, shifting from bright to shadow as the day moves, making the piece feel alive in a way that a smooth surface never could. In white plaster, it reads almost architectural — closer to a column fragment than a table, the kind of object that makes a room feel like it was curated rather than furnished.

The form is two-part: a wider upper cylinder sits above a slightly narrower fluted plinth, the step between them subtle but deliberate — enough to give the piece visual weight at the base without compromising its clean, upright silhouette.

Set it beside a sofa, a bed, or a reading chair. Rest a book on it, a candle, a glass. It holds everything and asks for nothing.
