A thick, rounded-corner square oak top — pale, generously grained, and deeply tactile — sits directly above a smooth plaster cylinder base, its wider footprint overhanging the base on all sides like a cap resting on a post. The geometry is simple and the effect is quietly arresting: two forms, two materials, one resolved object that looks considered from every angle and every distance.

The oak is natural and unhurried — grain running across the surface in long pale lines, the wood warm and honest, its rounded corners softening what could have been a hard edge into something approachable. The plaster cylinder beneath is the opposite: smooth, matte, and cool, its cylindrical form a perfect counterpoint to the angular top above. Together they sit in the space between organic and architectural, belonging to neither category entirely.
