Three natural oak legs rise from the floor and pass through both levels of this table — connecting a clean white circular top above to a deep white bowl shelf below. The top is flat, lipped, and uncluttered — a surface for a glass, a lamp, an open book. The bowl beneath is wide and curved, scooped inward, holding remotes, cables, reading glasses, the small accumulations of an evening — contained without being hidden, accessible without being on show.
The oak legs are cylindrical and warm, their pale grain honest and unhurried, punctuating the white surfaces at three equal points and letting air and light pass through the whole piece freely. Nothing is heavy. Nothing is unnecessary.
It is a side table that solves a small but persistent problem — where does everything else go? — and does so in a form that is genuinely worth looking at.
