A wide round top in warm cedar-toned oak — its planks running in alternating directions, knots visible, grain alive — sits above a single solid cylinder pedestal in the same timber, stave-constructed and substantial, its vertical lines of joinery giving the base a quiet texture that keeps it from reading as plain. The transition from cylinder to top is clean and direct, the pedestal meeting the underside of the top with no apron, no bracket, no interruption — just wood to wood, form to form.

The warmth of the cedar oak is the piece's quiet power. Not dark, not pale — the particular amber brown that makes a room feel inhabited rather than decorated, the kind of tone that improves candlelight and holds a space together across every season.
