A thick white Carrara marble top — heavily veined and generously long — sits within two wide greyed oak leg frames, each one a flat panel with a U-shaped arch cut cleanly through its lower half, the void open and considered, turning functional legs into something that reads more like a gateway than a support. The frames extend beyond the marble on both sides, visible front and back, giving the console a three-dimensional presence that most tables only achieve from one angle.

Midway between the two frames, a flat oak shelf spans the full width — slotting through the leg panels in a mortise-and-tenon logic that makes the joinery the detail, the construction the decoration. It sits low and level, practical and precise, holding books, baskets, or simply air.

The contrast between the cool white marble and the warm greyed oak is the conversation the piece has with every room it enters — stone and wood, heavy and light, formal and organic — always resolving in favour of the room.
