The Plank is exactly what its name suggests — and considerably more than that. A long, thick oak top in smoked grey sits above two wide vertical slab legs, their flat faces flush with the front of the table, their bases planted directly on the floor with no foot, no plinth, no softening detail. The top overhangs generously on the left, the right leg positioned inward and asymmetrically — a deliberate compositional decision that gives the Plank its particular tension, the top appearing to cantilever slightly over empty space on one side.

The smoked grey finish runs deep into the oak grain, the two-tone texture of the wood visible beneath — dark in the valleys, lighter on the peaks — giving the surface a richness that a painted or lacquered finish could never replicate.
