A long thick whitewashed pine plank sits across two entirely different supports — a wide solid cylinder on the left, a flat rectangular slab panel on the right — both in the same reclaimed pine, both whitewashed to the same pale, driftwood tone, yet formally completely unlike each other. The asymmetry is the point. It gives the Relic a found quality, as though the top simply landed across whatever was available and stayed there, the result more compelling than anything more considered could have produced.

The reclaimed pine tells its own story — knots, grain variations, the faint marks of a previous life visible beneath the white wash, each plank unique in the way that only genuinely reclaimed timber can be. The whitewash keeps it light and coastal, pale and airy, the texture of the wood showing through without the darkness of a stained or natural finish.
