The Volta Side Table

A thick round slab of white Carrara marble sits above a base that does something unexpected — three broad washed oak legs curve inward as they descend, meeting at a central cross joint on the floor in a form that reads more like a monument than a table support. Each leg is wide and chamfered, its grain running pale and visible through a whitewashed finish that keeps the wood warm without competing with the marble above. The arched negative space between each leg is the detail that holds the eye — three identical voids, open and considered, giving the base a lightness that belies its solid construction.

The marble top is generous and quietly veined — grey striation running naturally across white, no two tops identical, each one its own.
