Baluster Dining Bench

Some furniture tells a story before anyone sits down. The Baluster is one of those pieces.

A long, planked seat top in weathered grey oak stretches generously above two sculpted baluster pedestals — hand-turned, ringed, and shaped in the classical tradition that never quite goes out of fashion. Each pedestal sits on a wide flat base, connected beneath by a solid trestle stretcher that ties the whole piece together with quiet structural authority. The grey wash runs deep into the grain, giving the wood a reclaimed, time-worn quality that feels earned rather than applied.

No upholstery. No softness. Just solid wood, honest joinery, and a silhouette that has anchored long dining tables for centuries — reinterpreted here with a lightness of finish that makes it feel entirely of the moment.

Long enough for four. Substantial enough to stay for generations.

Every Baluster is handcrafted to order at Furmories, in your exact grey tone and finish.
