Crescent Side Table

A square below. A crescent above. Glass across the top. The Crescent should not work — and yet it is completely resolved.

A solid dark oak plinth base — square, heavy, and richly grained — rises from the floor and opens at the top into a wide half-moon arch, its curved interior scooped smooth and clean, the radius generous enough to feel architectural rather than decorative. Two upright oak ears flank the arch on either side, their flat tops forming the support points for a clear glass top that sits flush across the full width — transparent, invisible almost, letting the dark oak structure read uninterrupted beneath it.

The glass does something important here. It provides the surface without adding visual weight, keeping the focus entirely on the sculptural oak form below — the plinth, the curve, the arch — while still giving you a flat, practical plane to rest a glass or a book on.

Dark, dramatic, and entirely confident. The Crescent is the table for a room that is not afraid of character.
