A long flat-topped ebonised oak surface — dark, grained, and quietly dramatic — sits above a base that is anything but quiet. Two mirrored ogee bracket panels rise from a stepped plinth, their curves sweeping inward then outward in that unmistakable Art Deco silhouette — part arch, part flourish, part architectural memory. A central upright divides them symmetrically, the whole base reading as one composed, symmetrical form that references grand interiors without reproducing them slavishly.

The ebonised finish runs consistently through every part — top, base, plinth, and bracket — so the piece reads as a single dark monolith, the grain of the oak visible beneath the finish like texture beneath a patina. No contrast. No relief. Just depth, darkness, and the kind of decorative confidence that only very well-made things can carry.

In a hallway it is the first impression. Behind a sofa it anchors an entire room. Against a dark wall it almost disappears into something better — a silhouette, a shape, a statement.
