Two wide crescent arcs sweep inward from each side — one facing left, one facing right — joining at the centre in a pinched waist that creates a perfect lens shape between them, open and airy, the negative space as intentional as the solid wood surrounding it. Above, a long flat top overhangs the base with a clean square edge. Below, a low flat plinth grounds the whole composition, wider than the base it supports, giving the piece its assured, planted stance.

Everything is the same washed plaster tone — pale, chalky, and matte — so the curves and the top and the plinth all read as one continuous form, the eye travelling around the shape rather than jumping between contrasts. The finish catches light softly across the curved surfaces, the arcs showing a gentle tonal shift from highlight to shadow that makes the base feel almost three-dimensional from across the room.
