Two wide crescent arcs sweep inward from each side — one facing left, one facing right — joining at the centre in a pinched waist that creates a perfect lens shape between them, open and airy, the negative space as intentional as the solid wood surrounding it. Above, a long flat top overhangs the base with a clean square edge. Below, a low flat plinth grounds the whole composition, wider than the base it supports, giving the piece its assured, planted stance.

Everything is the same washed plaster tone — pale, chalky, and matte — so the curves and the top and the plinth all read as one continuous form, the eye travelling around the shape rather than jumping between contrasts.
